This is my MARVEL Universe OC, Excalibur a.k.a Veronica 'Ronnie' Barton.

Her bio: The child of Clint Barton and Natasha Romanoff, Ronnie Barton was entrusted with a huge secret about their lives from an early age; they were in reality the superheroes Hawkeye and Black Widow, the master assasins of the original Avengers team.

The Bartons were fairly wealthy thanks to their time with S.H.E.I.L.D., but Ronnie was no more spoiled by her parents then any other child. Rather than play with dolls and be told stories about fairies and unicorns, Ronnie prefered to practice archery and swordfighting with her dad and be told stories of how her parents saved the Earth. Some of the best days of her childhood were the ones she spent with her mom and dad's old friends, The Avengers; not every little girl gets to jet about in their Uncle Tony's rocket boots or have a huge banquet in a golden palace with Mr. Odinson etc. Ronnie's life was fairly normal despite this until the age of 11, when she was taken hostage by a modern version of the terrorist group HYDRA, offering her release if within 48 hours they were given access to weapons of mass destruction. During those hours, HYDRA tried to coax their adversaries further towards giving into them by releasing videos of Ronnie being tortured, and were preparing to exacute her until at the last minute her parents and the Avengers came to rescue her. In this rescue, an enraged Hawkeye entered one on one combat with HYDRA's then leader, the cybernetically enhanced Baron Strucker, who's healing factor enabled him to shrug off hits from Hawkeye's standard arrows. The Baron used his arm cannon to blast off the archer's famed left laucnhing arm, Hawkeye dropping his bow and an arrow in the process, and crippled him further by taking out his right leg. The cyborg was going to deliver a final fatel shot to Hawkeye until Ronnie took her father's discarded bow, firing and detonating an explossive arrow at Strucker's chest, supposedly killing him. With their forces being no match for The Avengers and their leader gone, HYDRA retreated and Ronnie and the heroes escaped.

Hawkeye surrvied, but his lost limbs forced him into retirement, with Black Widow doing the same to care for her husband. Ronnie however lost her innocence, matured by the dark events that took place. She vowed to protect the world from threats like HYDRA. From then onwards she was trainned in combat and spy skills by her mother and furthered her knowledge of archery and sword fighting that she already had from the lessons her father gave her as a child. Through ages 12 onwards she balanced school and trainning. After leaving school, Ronnie, using her family's wealth and prior knowledge to equip herself, began work as a costummed vigilante and a few years later found herself working for her parent's previous employers S.H.E.I.L.D. Veronica Barton then came to be known as the swordfighter Excalibur.

As Excalibur, Ronnie uses a variety of equipment including: A gauntlet on her left arm that contains a mobile computer and a communicator that can also hack into enemy communication lines, a utility belt that stores the ammo for her guns and also holds her grapple gun for climbing up buildings or swinging over gaps, a domino-mask with lenses that can be switched to night-vision or thermal imaging modes, a protective facemask that prevents inhalation of harmful substances and can allow her to breathe underwater for a certain period of time, a series of customised katana blades with a palm and finger print scanner in the hilt; should anyone's prints but Excalibur's touch the scanner, the hilt explodes within five seconds. Finally, Excalibur can use a wide variety of guns, though she favours ones with automatic fire.
